Alain and Gisèle have a perfect life in Paris: a successful job, a nice home, a membership to a posh country-club… until their only son gets married. Now what? Grow old together? Gisèle decides they should move to Israel, where Alain could explore his Jewish roots, to rekindle their love. But when they buy a non-existent apartment to a crook estate agent, when Alain’s new job disappears, when Gisèle falls for a dashing and modern rabbi, their couple is tested.
