Léon’s daughter falls in love with the British pilot and, just to complicate things, Léon finds himself caught up in a plot to assassinate Rommel !

He is called “petit bougnat”, has teen years of age and lives with his mother and his father-in-law in Sarcelles. When all his friends leave for holidays, he arranges to go with them eventhough he wasn’t registered. He finds friendship with an elder girl, with whom he runs away…

A paroled armed robber and his son plan a Las Vegas casino heist without knowing that the casino is bitterly contested by the West Coast and East Coast mobs.

In this modern reworking of the drama of Sophocles’ Antigone, set in the city of Milan, a totalitarian government attemps to quash any form of rebellion by banning the burial of citizens killed by the regime’s police. The omnipresent opression of the regime – with people going about their every day lives stepping over the corpses that litter the streets – is challenged by Antigone, who is determined to bury her dead brother’s body…

Pier Paolo Pasolini electrifies the myth of Medea (seduced and betrayed by Jason, she takes drastic measures to extract her revenge) with a mixture of ritual theatre and social anthropology. Maria Callas is riveting in the title role, giving a profoundly expressive performance as the deranged sorceress. Under Pasolini’s direction, the plight of colonised cultures is symbolised by Medea as she surrenders to the foreign intruder, betrays the secrets of her people and, in doing so, is driven to madness and murder.

When Cat (Terence Hill) is shot and wounded by cruel mine owner Honey’s men, he takes refuge in the nearest shelter, which just happens to be a circus caravan… The popular duo of rock-jawed Terence Hill and burly Bud Spencer teams up once again in this unusual «spaghetti western», in which the eternal saloon is replaced by a circus tent and punches fly to the beat of circus music.

Hernandez, commander of the garrison in a small village, joins a group of townsmen with the intention of robbing orphan Manuel of his inheritance. Luke, suffering from a traumatic past and now an alcoholic, is chosen by revolutionary Pancho to be the pawn of the conspirators.

Fausto Di Salvio (Alberto Sordi), a rich businessman, fed up with work, family and society, and his shabby book-keeper, Ubaldo Palmarini, interpreted by an extraordinary Bernard Blier, travel to Africa in search for Mr. Di Salvio’s brother-in-law, Oreste Sabatini (Nino Manfredi). Sabatini has vanished on the Dark Continent under mysterious circumstances. After a series of unbelievable adventures, they will find him: Sabatini has become a tribal chief, surrounded by lots of topless, shapely women. They are going to return to civilisation, but will their friend come with them?

After some serious tinkering, modest inventor Jules Duroc (Bourvil) creates the first modern bicycle. Before Duroc can demonstrate his invention, he is forced to flee a relentless debt collector. The clever inventor hides out among the participants in the Paris-San Remo race – which he ends up winning thanks to his marvellous new bicycle.

Two adventurers and best friends, Roland and Manu, are the victims of a practical joke that costs Manu his pilot’s license. With seeming contrition, the jokesters tell Roland and Manu about a crashed plane lying on the ocean floor off the coast of Congo stuffed with riches. The adventurers set off to find the loot. Going with them is Laetitia, an artistic young woman who treats them like brothers, plays along with their schemes, makes sculptures of found objects, and dreams of buying an old fort on the French coast. The Congo tip turns out to be a trap and the adventurers must pick up the pieces.

In pre-war Italy, a young couple have a baby boy. The father, however, is jealous of his son – and the scene moves to antiquity, where the baby is taken into the desert to be killed. He is rescued, given the name Edipo (OEdipus), and brought up by the King and Queen of Corinth as their son. One day an oracle informs Edipo that he is destined to kill his father and marry his mother. Horrified,  he flees Corinth and his supposed parents – only to get into a fight and kill an older man on the road… Pasolini mixes autobiographical elements with Greek tragedy.

Shaken by the suffering of her dying beloved Aunt (the iconic Greek actress, Katina Paxinou), Annie (Joanna Shimkus) spends an entire night wandering through the streets of pre-May 68’ Paris. Her nostalgic encounters – humorous, moving or philosophical – help her confront the realities of dying and the responsibilities of adulthood.

Jacques Cournot lives in a Carrabean port and has no job, when one day Hendrix asks him to buy a yatch. A few days later Hendrix disappears with his boat, Cournot is accused, but freed, thanks to the intervention of Ms. Osberne. Then they discover the yatch where the ex-husband of Ms. Osberne and his fellows are under the commandment of a certain Morisson…

It ‘s the story of a day spent by Dino, forty-or-so years old, separated from his wife, with his son son Robertino after five years without seeing him. Dino has not accomplished anything in his life and invents a complete story about his job and his past to win the affection of the child. At the end of the day, however, he is able to establish a good relationship with the child and tells him the truth about himself.

Ten-year-old Alain lives with his mother in the working class neighbourhood of Belleville- Ménilmontant on Rue des Cascades in Paris. When his mother’s young, black lover, Vincent, comes to live with them, Alain is overcome with jealousy and racist feelings. But Vincent warmly treats Alain as he would his own son, taking him around the city, playing with him and disarming every prejudice the boy harbours.

A pimp with no other means to provide for himself finds his life spiraling out of control when his prostitute is sent to prison.

A beautiful 18-year-old orphan escapes from a reformatory and hooks up wth a gang of jewel smugglers, and decides on a life of crime. However, she falls for and marries a policeman, putting a crimp in her criminal career.

Once again Jean Cocteau updates a classic to a compelling modern allegory. Jean Marais is Orpheus, a poet in search of inspiration. Marie Déa is radiant as Eurydice. Maria Casarès is Death, the imperious and seductive princess, whose glove-clad hand ripples though a mirror, leading Orpheus to another world…

Carmelle is a farm servant, and a gorgeous woman. She manages to charm a rich farmer under the guidance of the man she loves and becomes the owner’s heir.

Jean Cocteau adapts Victor Hugos’s great romantic drama for the screen and asks Pierre Billon to direct. Jean Marais stars in a double role, both as Ruy Blas, the poor young student deeply in love with the Queen of Spain (the radiant Danielle Darrieux) and the man he strangely resembles, Don Cesare de Bazin. Because of this uncanny physical similarity, the unscrupulous chief of police, Don Sallustre (Marcel Herrand), engages Ruy Blas in order to manipulate the Queen. But the evil Don Sallustre underestimates Ruy Blas’ loyalty to his Monarch…

A handsome tenor (Luis Mariano) uses his vocal talents to seduce as many women as possible, including the wife of a famous surgeon. Furious, the jealous husband preforms an incredible surgical prowess: he switches the tenor’s vocal cords with those of a shop keeper. But now the shop keeper has an amazing voice – and soon he attracts the favours of the surgeon’s wife. It seems that another operation will be necessary…

During the tempestuous French Revolution, the Marquis of Montauran arrives in Brittany to lead an uprising of the local loyalist forces, the Chouans. The dashing Marquis (Jean Marais) meets with resistance but is joined by the lovely Republican spy, Marie de Verneuil (Madeleine Lebeau).

In order to escape from the police, a young burglar flees to the south of France, where he finds work in a quarry. He meets a nice, young girl, the sister of one of his colleagues, but decides not to drop his lover. This one wants him to commit another crime, after which he is caught and send to prison. After his liberation, the colleague’s sister waits for him.

During a school revue at which she gets to show off her singing talents, Félicie Nanteuil meets the well-known actor Aimé Cavalier. The latter has seen sent by the Odéon theatre to read some poetry. Félicie is a big fan of Cavalier and he admires her beauty. The actor persuades himself that the young woman has talent and gives her some lessons in diction, which turn out to be a pretext for her becoming his mistress. Cavalier then persuades the manager of the Odéon to hire Félicie and in no time the aspiring young singer is a greater star than the man who launched her on her career. Cavalier is devastated when Félicie falls for the irresistible Robert de Ligny, but he has a plan to win her back…

Set in 19th Century Camargue, this poignant adaptation of Alphonse Daudet’s play, accompanied with Georges Bizet’s stirring score, follows the star-crossed loves and obsessions of charming Frédéri. This young son of wealthy farmers falls helplessly in love with a woman from Arles whom he dreams of marrying. His protective family learns that the woman, whose name is never mentioned and is only referred to as “the woman from Arles”, has already had an adventure with another man. Frédéri is crushed by this revelation. Despite the efforts of his family to help him and the affections oflovely Vivette, Frédéri cannot live without his Arlésienne…

The creaking wheels of the phantom carriage ridden by Death himself – and driven for a year by the hapless man who dies at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve – provide the sinister backdrop for this rare French fantasy film. Pierre Fresnay is remarkable as hard-drinking tough guy, David, whose buddy Georges (the equally remarkable Louis Jouvet) haunts his nights as the ghostly carriage driver. A woman from the Salvation Army will try to save David from the fate of his friend…

Canadian Iass Maria Chapdelaine (Madeleine Renaud) is torn between two suitors, an aristocrat (Jean-Pierre Aumont) and a rugged lumberjack (Jean Gabin) in a beautifully shot 19th Century romantic triangle.

Through the childhood and the adolescence of Giacomo Casanova (from his memoirs), this is a description of how people live in the Venice of the 18th century: customs, habits, medecine, religion and most of all – the omnipresence of hypocrisy.

Max (Jean Gabin), an aging gangster, and his cellmate, Pierre (Jean-Claude Brialy) escape from prison. They board an airplane for Rome where Max has stashed a huge amount of gold and disguise themselves as clergymen in order to blend in with the wave of priests heading for the Vatican during the Holy Year. Things become quite complicated for the fake bishop and his friend when their plane is hijacked and heads not for Rome but Tangiers!
